Who said compact family wagons are boring? Every boy sitting in the backseat of such a vehicle must have thought at one point that it would be really cool if Daddy modified the family hauler to add to the appearance. The Ford Escort LX Wagon pictured here was simply lowered, larger wheels have been fitted along with an airdam up front and a modified hood. Little things do make a difference.

To get the proportions of the Ford F-650 Super Crewzer just right, it didn’t need much. Larger diameter rims, a substantial lowering and a few tweaks here and there. Changes the whole appearance instantly, doesn’t it?

For quite a long time I’ve been fiddling with the idea of creating a BAJA-spec truck. Not a regular truck, though. I wanted to start with a regular road car. Eventually I decided to start with a 2005 Ford Mustang convertible as a base. A BAJA-style Nissan Frontier donated the running gear and the rear part of the tube frame including the spare wheel carrier. The body of the Mustang has been modified extensively in order to fit the tube frame, suspension and massive tires. Looks quite mean now, doesn’t it?

A friend of mine from Switzerland is a huge Ford enthusiast. He inspired me to create this Bonneville Salt Flats race car, which is based on the Mk2 Escort RS2000 and could run in the Speed Week. The body has been altered to streamline it even more for higher speeds. Just imagine the body now sits on a tube frame chassis. This could be one wild ride. The engine? Well, your choice of any engine that fits under that bonnet, really. Go ahead, make it happen in real life!

To be honest, the Mk2 Granada has never been one of my favorites – I’ve always preferred the Ford Granada Mk1. Yes, I do love cars with straight lines, but the Mk2 Granadas’ design is a little bit too dull. Nothing that couldn’t be fixed by altering a few pixels, hehe. The front grille is from an Escort RS2000, the bumpers are from a Jaguar XJ-S. Why did I do that? Well, quite easy to explain, actually: I had the Granada and XJ-S pictures next to each other on my desktop. By chance! Inspiration struck and a couple of minutes later the idea had been transformed into what you see here.

Why shouldn’t you have fun making those express deliveries? And have a nice van to use as a billboard for your advertisements? Ford thought about that and created the Transit SportVan. Already a rather nice van as it is, I thought there was a bit of room for optical improvement. The Transit is lowered over 80’s style deep dish cross-spoke wheels and the body has been cleaned. Add your company logo and you’re settled.

For quite a while I wanted to try real flames on a vehicle. What could be a better base than a car from the 1950’s? I customized the Ford Custom RanchWagon including a topchop and massive lowering. Shaved most of the chrome trim and added sidepipes. I am quite satisfied for this being my first try. Hope you like it.

The 1968 Ford Mustang Shelby EXP500 Black Hornet inspired me to create a classic Mustang Shooting Break.
Apart from the roof, the body was lowered and a front spoiler has been added. The original Shelby wheels have been replaced with period-correct Mag Wheels.

This is part two of the Ford Focus ST chops. The car has been lowered over a set of nice wheels. The body has been cleaned and some details have been added to the bodykit. However, there was no need to change the bright orange color.
