2012Peugeot 405 Mi16
The Peugeot 405 is one of those clean Pinifarina designs from the 80’s I always liked. The 405 Mi16 from back then had flat black fender flares. This iteration features widened fenders made from steel and blended into the original fenders. Gives it a much smoother look, doesn’t it? Same goes for the door handles, which have been removed. Lowered over a set of period correct, but oversized, wheels this vehicle looks just right. Pity such clean and timeless designs are not available any more.

Love the look of this car. I have a 405 MI16 sitting in my garage since 2002. Bodykit partially on, mine is lowered like picture full suspenion and brembos ready once I can find spacers for my wheels. Needs rear axle reconditioned with thicker torsion bars which I will work on over winter. Standard engine at moment, full stainless exhaust, blacked out windows. Drove to Silverstone for Trax 2002 then put off road and bought another MI16 2.0 for run about, but later sold to a mate of mine.

Thanks Michael. Sounds like an interesting project you have going on. Please make sure to send pictures once finished. Have fun building it!

Martin
Hello
How easy is it to lower
And best place to get the springs
Thx
Sebastian Motsch
Hello Martin,
lowering the 405 is not difficult – but finding the parts may be as these cars are rare now. Try http://www.sportfahrwerk-billiger.de to see fi there is still something available. Ales, you can always ask H&R or KW if they make a custom set for you.
Best regards
Sebastian
